| "Art With Intention" TM
"The art I am creating now has been inspired by the deepening of my spiritual practice and a recent introduction to Feng Shui. I began to see how I could create images that would not only be decorative but also promote healing and the movement of energies in a beneficial way.
Each image I paint can have a specific energy-directing purpose. Images are powerful tools for healing, creating abundance, love, success, etc. Our subconscious creates or destroys a lot of what is in our lives based on the images we send it. Surrounding yourself with positive, life affirming images can help you manifest your goals, dreams and aspirations.
The latest series has been created in mixed media. Most of the paintings are done utilizing acrylic paint, "prayer" papers and gold leaf. Joss or prayer papers are typically used in traditional Chinese Feng Shui. Gold or gold leaf has been used down through the centuries as a representation of the divine. This work has been extremely satisfying to me and is the natural next step in my own spiritual evolution."
